ASRY and BIBF discuss cooperation opportunities

The Director of the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hameed Al Shaikh, received the Managing Director of the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY), Mr. Mazen Mohammed Matar, at the institute’s new headquarters in Bahrain Bay, to discuss various issues of mutual interest, including mutually beneficial collaborations between the two parties in the field of training and development.

On behalf of ASRY, the meeting was attended by Ms. Sahar Ataaei Chief Financial Officer, and Shaikh Duaij Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Human Resources Senior Manager.

Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh welcomed Mr. Mazen Matar, praising the outstanding efforts exerted by ASRY in developing the oil and gas sector in Bahrain, in line with the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Al Shaikh also confirmed that the BIBF is constantly seeking to activate the tools of joint cooperation in the field of training and development with promising sectors in the Kingdom, including the oil and gas sector; due to the pivotal role it plays in supporting the national economy.

Matar praised the advanced level that the BIBF has reached through its programmes and activities, which reflects the leading role of educational institutions in the Kingdom in various fields on a global scale. He stated that the BIBF is a leading and distinguished education and training provider, and that all the programmes and activities offered by the institute contribute to the development of the human capital, which is our real wealth in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Managing Director of ASRY was also taken on a tour of the new building, to see the various facilities available and the educational infrastructure that offers students the best training and educational environment to study from.
